H. W. “Buzz” Bernard
My name is Buzz Bernard. I’m a writer and retired meteorologist. I recently completed a novel, EYEWALL, a dramatic tale about a crippled Hurricane Hunter aircraft that becomes trapped in the eye of a catastrophic hurricane.
The book won first place in the Southeastern Writers Association Novel Competition in 2008 and will be released as a trade paperback and ebook in May 2011 by BelleBooks. The target date for publication, you will note, is just prior to the kickoff of the 2011 Atlantic hurricane season. Eyewall is represented by Jeanie Pantelakis of the Sullivan Maxx Literary Agency.
Another novel, THE KOLTSOVO LEGACY, won the Novel Competition this year. It’s a thriller I actually wrote prior to Eyewall. It needs some polishing and updating, but I like it enough that I’ve gone back to work on it.
